Rahu Kalam in Fremont today

Count eight equal parts from local sunrise. Today is Saturday in Fremont, so Rahu rules the 3rd part.

• Sunday: 8th eighth
• Monday: 2nd eighth
• Tuesday: 7th eighth
• Wednesday: 5th eighth
• Thursday: 6th eighth
• Friday: 4th eighth
• Saturday: 3rd eighth — today

Pacific Time with DST, same switch dates as the rest of California. One local quirk worth knowing: Mission Peak stands directly east of the city, so the sun a Fremont household actually sees clears the ridge several minutes after the computed horizon sunrise on this page. Temple boards along Mission Boulevard sometimes post the observed time instead — both are defensible; pick one and stay with it for the whole vrat.

• Hindu Community and Cultural Center (Fremont Hindu Temple)

  Delaware Drive, Fremont

Shiva, Vishnu and Ganesha shrines under one roof; weekend abhishekam and kalyanam scheduled off the Fremont sunrise, with Pacific times on the notice board.

• ISKCON of Silicon Valley

  Newark

Janmashtami midnight is Pacific midnight, and the Ekadashi parana window is announced after the local sunrise rather than relayed from Mayapur.

• Mission Boulevard satsang and mandal circuit

Mission San Jose / Warm Springs

Gujarati and Punjabi mandals meeting in halls and homes along the boulevard; nearly all run on Pacific civil dates, and the ones that do not are usually reading a calendar mailed from India.
