How Chicago reads the table
Lemont's hilltop temple and Aurora's Balaji temple split the metro: Gujarati and Hindi-speaking families lean Lemont, Telugu and Tamil families lean Aurora. Both are an hour behind New York, so a '9am IST satsang livestream' lands at 10:30pm the previous evening in Chicago — useless for a local vrat.
Central Time DST matches the federal US schedule. Lemont sunrise is later than the Loop; the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago posts Central, not Eastern, times.
