Your sign in three astrologies

Your Western signs come from the tropical zodiac, your Vedic signs from the sidereal zodiac, and your Chinese animal from the Lunar New Year of your birth year. Enter a date and place. Add a birth time to include Rising and Lagna. We flag a Sun or Moon within 1° of a sign cusp.

How it works

One engine chart supplies every Western and Vedic number. The request is a non-compact sidereal chart: each body has both a sidereal and a tropical longitude. Western signs use the tropical Sun and Moon. Vedic signs use the sidereal Sun and Moon. Chinese uses the birth date against the Lunar New Year table, not the planets.

Western Rising is the sidereal lagna plus the Sun’s tropical minus sidereal offset from that same chart. We show Rising and Lagna only when you give a birth time and the live engine reports version 0.19.0 or newer. If the engine version cannot be read, they stay hidden.

A Sun or Moon within 1° of a sign cusp is flagged. Place search uses Open-Meteo as you type. Nominatim is only queried when you submit. No India ranking boost. If a place has no time zone we do not compute. For the method behind all of our calculators, see how we compute.
