The short version

• We collect what you type in (your email, and the birth details you enter) and use it to give you what you asked for.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
• We do not set analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we are

What we collect and why

• Waitlist. Your email address, the page you joined from and, if you choose one, the topic you are most curious about. We use it to confirm your sign-up and to tell you when our AI astrologer opens. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Calculator inputs. The birth date, time and place you enter. We use them only to compute the result you asked for. We may keep a computed result for up to 24 hours, keyed by the birth details alone, so repeat requests are fast; it is not linked to your name or email. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use.
• Reports you buy. Your email, the birth details for the report and the order record. Payments are handled by PayPal; we never see your card number. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep tax and accounting records.
• Usage and security. Pages viewed, calculators used and similar events, plus your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Analytics run without cookies or device storage. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving a secure service.

Cookies

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. If we add any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that run the site for us, under contracts that limit them to our instructions: website hosting (Vercel), our database (Supabase), our astronomy engine (Google Cloud), product analytics (PostHog, EU hosting), email delivery (Resend) and payments (PayPal). We may disclose data if the law requires it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States, Japan and India. Where the law requires it, we rely on adequacy decisions or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 24 months after our AI astrologer opens.
• Cached calculator results: up to 24 hours.
• Orders and reports: as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@daanyam.comand we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority: the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or the supervisory authority where you live in the EU.

Children

This site is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, where you have given us your email, tell you before the change takes effect. See also our terms.
