Dhanteras 2026 in Manchester — pradosh kaal

Hindu festival dates follow the tithi at local sunrise, not a fixed Gregorian date and not a simple IST conversion. Manchester sits in a different timezone from India, and sunrise happens at a different longitude — so the same Kartika tithi can name a different civil morning. Muhurat windows (Pradosh Kaal, Aparahna, moonrise, Arghya) are always recomputed from this place's coordinates.

Clean the entrance and light a diya at dusk. Offer a short Dhanvantari or Lakshmi prayer during Pradosh Kaal. Buying utensils or metals is traditional; the muhurat is local sunset, not IST.
